  Dr Meciusela Tuicakau, Fijian dermatologist and Dr Margot Whitfeld, Australian dermatologist, led the development of the Pacific Dermatology Training Centre. The training centre opened in February 2019.

  The Dermatology Diploma, offered via Fiji National Uiversity and run at the Pacific Dermatology Training Centre emphasises the diagnosis and treatment of skin disease with a focus on conditions seen in the Pacific region.
